Whither Can a Lover Go PDF Print E-mail
"Whither can a lover go but to the land of his beloved? and what seeker findeth rest away from his heart's desire? To the true lover reunion is life, and separation is death. His breast is void of patience and his heart hath no peace. A myriad lives he would forsake to hasten to the abode of his beloved."

-- Bahá’u’lláh

A very powerful song that seems to always transform the energy of the room. Highlighting Baha'u'llah's use of the metaphor of a lover seeking the Beloved, this poetic Hidden Word has the power to draw people into a reflective state about their own journey of reunion and finding innerpeace.
Serving Suggestions:  This song is a little more challenging and takes more familiarity and time than usual to generate a group singing effort. However the last part of the song repeats several times and lends itself to everyone joining in. One option is to start the song as a solo and then transition to group singing by the end. There are some very nice harmonies that dramatically enhance the impact of this song.
